Travelling through time:Life in the 1930s in India.
I awoke to the sound of birds chirping, villagers talking and animal sounds. I looked around in amazement.”1932, here we go!”I said to myself. I walked around the village exploring the market. There were shops everywhere. One thing I saw everywhere I went was cricket. Cricket was played on the streets as well!
The next place I went to was the houses. The houses had metal roofing. It must be annoying when it rains. It was actually interesting how people lived in these miniature houses because a family sizes were more than 5 children. Many families owned cows and a big field next to their house that they owned.Kids had to help their families with the daily chores once they were old enough to.
I enjoyed listening to sports on the radio.Due to no television, people listened to the commentary on the radio.Sports were a common listen there.Hearing skills were very important in the 1900s.
Boom! There was a gunshot.Everybody evacuated the market in a hurry.I got scared and jumped back in the time machine. When I got back home, I did a comparison between the place I just went and the present.Seeing all those panicked faces after the gunshot and the way the houses were, I realized how lucky I am to live in such a safe and healthy environment.
